Macro Micro E is a body of works by Luka Širok developed through an intense and gestural painting process. Layers of dripping paint, dense material accumulations and mixed media interventions build complex surfaces where the image emerges through physical action rather than traditional brushwork.

Various tools are used in the process, often replacing the brush and allowing the paintings to evolve through experimentation and material interaction. Toward the final stage, the compositions undergo a process of definition and reduction, where visual structures begin to consolidate.

The works were presented in the solo exhibition Macro Micro Expansion at the Dolenjski Museum in Novo mesto. Within this context, the paintings reflect the idea of obstacles and blocks—structures that simultaneously limit movement while challenging the artist to push through and transform them into new visual formation
